What have you been working on lately? No doubt most of us have one or two slow burn projects in the background... Mine is this pile of granny squares...
| Sorry for the awful quality night shots! |
One day I'll have enough to make an epic-sized retro granny blanket. One day... So when I'm between things or not really in the mood for a current project, this is quite a nice one to pick up and have a break. A couple of blocks every now and again is quick and achievable and ultimately adding to a bigger picture. Satisfaction still achieved.
Thank heaven for long term projects like these - great for tired minds and restless hands :) What projects do you have on the backburner?
The wonderful April giveaway is sponsored by the great ladies at More Than Fabric and the winner can choose a set of fat quarters from one of these two ranges! Delicious fabric, isn't it?
Thanks for popping in and I hope you'll leave inspired by everyone's fab makings!

ReplyDeleteLove love love the black edging around the bright colours. I think it will look great as a blanket!
ReplyDeleteAhhh yes long term projects Ahem like my epic ripple rug - hasn't been touched in 10 months!!
ReplyDeletePacking one or two projects for the weekend
i like the black edging too, really makes those colours 'pop' as the americans say! have hardly done a thing on my rug since i blogged it all those weeks ago, and its slow going even when you do heaps of work on it. i wonder what the record is for a finally finished project?! suspect its longer than cats 10 months!
ReplyDeleteroll on too.morrow! x
Love the granny squares clever girl... see you TOMORROW!
ReplyDeleteLove the colours - it's gonna look FAB :-)
ReplyDeleteI love your grannies - so full of colour. I too have a long term slow burn granny square project. My problems with it though are that I'm not sure I like my squares and I know that we certainly don't need another blanket in our house. Both these issues mean it is very very slow burn, slowed to a halt. Fortunately I have a few other lovely projects I am working on!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great pile. I'm sure they will make an awesome looking blanket and the colours look great. I've been working on crocheting a blanket for a few months now and it's nowhere near halfway done. Time consuming but fun!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the grannie squares!
