Show & Tell: Pretty Little Purse

Hi ho hi ho, here we go!

Show & Tell Thursday's

One of Heidi's friends had a wee birthday not so long ago and I wanted to make a little something to go along with the birthday goodies.  And also H was pretty keen "what are you going to make for her Mummy? Can you make something for her birthday Mummy? ..."

I'd seen some cute little purses around the interwebs and have a few pinned too.  I adored one particular one but there was no pattern available... so I made it up :)

The inside is lined with some pretty ballerina fabric, and a cute wee wooden button on the outside.  Both were from the Make Cafe.

The girls loved it, so that was approval enough.  And Heidi was so happy that Mummy made something : )

Do you make things up as you go and hope for the best if there is no pattern or guide to be found?

Our sponsor for September is the  Make Cafe and they are giving one lucky linkee a copy of this gorgeous book:
It's full of gorgeous ideas and projects for parties and entertaining and has something for everyone.  It's a beauty!  To be in to win, you simply need to link up at least once during the month!

Thanks for stopping by and encouraging each other on our crafting journeys :)
Happy Linking!

  1. I love it. Clever making up the pattern. Did you write it down? The colours are great. A little purse is perfect for a little girl. Cx

  4. Love that H wanted you to make something - she's proud of her clever mum! It's well-loved already, even the little guy tries to steal it.

  6. The ballerina fabric is so lovely, I was craning my neck to get a better look at it. You make it look so easy to make up a pattern, it's much harder than it looks to get it all in proportion, you did great!

  8. That seriously is the cutest bag ever! So clever. I am definitely a pattern follower, and even then I can't guarantee it'll be OK haha.
