Show & Tell: Paper Plus

Why hello again!
Show & Tell Thursday's

So what have you been up to lovelies? Well here there's a bit happening, but also somehow not much can be shown for it! Anyways, hubby's grandmother had a birthday not so long ago and we wracked our brains thinking of good gift ideas.

Then of course, as is the usual way, I had a thought just as I was falling asleep - a set of handmade cards! I pulled out my scrapbook papers, stamps, embossing tools and got cracking - the next day of course ;)

They were simple but fun to make. And then I decided why not make the envelopes too? So I drew up a template and folded an evening away.

The trouble with a handmade envelope is there are no licky-sticky sides... aha! Some pretty washi tape will go with this nicely!

I had thoughts of making a wee box to present them in, some wee stickers to add, a nice pen... seriously... one could do quite alot with this idea! But we kept it simple and it was well received so yay!

What nifty gifty ideas do you have that you can share with us?
Looking forward to seeing what you've been up to!

Show & Tell: Zebra's will come out to play...

Wahey! Hello there!

Show & Tell Thursday's

It's party time around these parts!  Our wee Heidi is turning 5 - my little lover of zebra's and orange.  It also means she gets to have a "big" party.  For all other birthdays we have some cake with a few friends, nothing formal, nothing serious (though no less special!).   But 5... 5 is a biggie for us and means serious business!

So it's only apt we have some serious invitations :) We tossed around lots of ideas for a fun invitation and finally settled on this one. A moving Zebra card invitation. Of course!

I researched how these cards worked and it was really simple! Bonus! And hubster had not long returned from an overseas trip with lots of little coins fit for this purpose.

Though wanting to have various different components, it meant a few layers and a lot, A LOT!!, of cutting! My hands did not love me for it, but we loved the final results : )

She was thrilled, and the girls all loved playing with them. Always makes a enjoyable experience that much more rewarding doesn't it?

What clever, crafty things have you been working on? Anything finished? Any sneaky peeks to share?
Cant wait to see what you've been up to!
Hope your Thursday is full of fun!

Show & Tell: Tool-time

Oh hi! How are you?

Show & Tell Thursday's

I may have mentioned a long time ago that I like to make greeting/birthday cards. I've made heaps over the years - some a bit cute, some nice but not spectacular, some that had a bit more x-factor.

This one was for a friends tool-obsessed little boy. Browsing pictures the night before to find a bob-the-builder, or handy-manny or something like that to use... This idea came to me instead!

A toolbox with removable tools! Ha! I love it, love it!

And the little dude did too as he was dead keen to play with it! Win!

Are you a card-maker? Any cute and clever tricks or tips to share on the card-giving front?
Looking forward to hearing from and seeing you all!
Have a terrific day!
