Finally a pretty blanket

This is the last awesome item I found that day at the Sally Store...

A gorgeous woollen blanket... for $5!  Which was amazing considering they've had a few blankies there but priced up to $25!

It's gorgeous and I cant decide if I have the heart to cut it up yet for other uses.  Perhaps if I find some more my attachment to it might become a little less?

Joining in again (yay!) with magical Max.

  2. I find it super hard to cut into wool blankets too. It's always kind of a relief to discover a hole so I don't feel so bad! $5 is a total bargain too!

  3. I agree, unless i got them holey from the dog box at the oppy i've never found one for just $5. And such pretty pastel colours too. You'll get heaps of crafting out of that baby...once you've made the first snip...(i'm having second thoughts about my navy blankets too, they'd be good to set aside for fins future bedroom and navy is my absolute fabe colour-argh!!!) x

  6. $5!! Score. So pretty. Shock horror - the hubby went and picked up some new drawers for our boys room on Sunday. He pulls up at home with them nicely tied in the back of his ute - with all my precious wool blankets wrapped around them!! Found my stash in a box in a garage. Must find a new secret hiding place for them....

  7. it is a cutie. I like that you found it for that price.
I have about 20 blankets but find it so hard to cut into them and most are on our beds keeping us all toasty.

  8. It is lovely - personally I wouldn't cut into it because its so big, I'd be adding that one to my bed (they are good under the sheets as an underlay too). Here's hoping you'll find another not so perfect blanket with a hole or a stain, that will be easier to repurpose :)
