Show & Tell - Chirpy Cushion

Good Morning Lovelies

Show & Tell Thursday's

Hope you're well and truly into the short week and enjoyed the long weekend!

A number of months ago a friend and I were browsing Pinterest and came across this Pin.  She exclaimed she loved it, and so the minute she left I pinned it for future reference.  (The source of the pin is this blog.)

Fast forward a few months and her birthday was coming up... what to do, what to do... Aha! Lightbulb!  Why hello there little pin!

I grabbed some natural linen, visaflix, tree fabric, bird fabric, a cushion, pencil, scissors, iron, along with some embroidery cotton and a needle.  I decided to make it a simple envelope back so set about working out the dimensions of the cover, drew a mirror image of the tree and birds onto the visaflix, then ironed that onto the tree and bird fabric, cut out, iron items on to the linen.

Blanket stitch around all objects adding eyes, legs and feet.  And lastly sewed the sides together to complete the cover and popped the cushion in.  Tada!

And now.... the winner of the Awesome Skeinz Giveaway is... Pearlin with her lovely Scarf and Hat!  Yay and congrats Pearlin - I'll be in touch soon to make arrangements : )

The giveaway for June is currently a work in progress... I will be back very soon I hope with some details!

In the meantime link up and go wild - cant wait to see what you've been making!
